Tamsin :: Carnival Portrait Session Melbourne, Florida

29 Nov

I photographed Tamsin and her family a while back, but we knew that we needed to do another shoot with just her.

Tamsin had her little baby girl less than a year ago, and fell into motherhood like a rock star.  I mean every time the name Ruby is mentioned, Tamsin just melts.  You can practically see her heart start to swell.  She laughs about crazy diaper changes and jokes about staying up all night, and even though you can tell that she is utterly exhausted, it is so clear that there is nothing that Tamsin loves more than being a mom.

So, why did we need to leave little Ruby behind to go play super model at the carnival?  Well, sometimes to stay a rock star (and sane) at home, you need to take a little time away just for yourself.  And what better way than to get all gussied up for some pretty pictures?

This shoot was so insanely fun.  It is everything that I love about photography: a crazy location full of colors and life, fantastic clothing, and a friend who was game for anything, including carnival games and winning an awesome Justin Bieber poster!

P.S. Share your favorites and give Tamsin some love in the comments.  Let her know that she is a total super model, post-baby or not!

I’m no photography expert, but I find it interesting and a nod to your talent that I didn’t even realize there were other people at the carnival! I had to go back and specifically look a second time.

I wish I could say that we had the whole carnival to ourselves, but we definitely did not! That’s so cool that you noticed; it took a little bit of work to make it look like that.

And, yes, they are some seriously kick-a** pics! You make me laugh :)
